Registered Air Mail envelope addressed to 'Rafat Majoub, Syrian Trader, Saltpond, Gold Coast' bearing Grand Liban (Lebanon) Yvert 151, 0pi 50 rose (pair), Yvert 166, 7pi 50 carmine, Yvert 170, 5pi turquoise (2, on reverse) and Yvert 171, 12 1/2 pi blue (strip of four, on reverse) tied by Tripoli Liban date stamp '20th May 41' with 'No 232' registration label with circular Free French 'C - 00 - M' censor cachet on face, routed via Beyrouth '21/5' and Egypt with bilingual 'Censorship/ 77' and Gold Coast/ Opened by Censor' label (black on buff), returned to Sudan with 'Sudan/ 2/ Censorship' label tied by triangular 'Passed Censor Sudan/ 15' struck on face and reverse, oval Registered/ Accra and oval Registered/ Saltpond receiver '20th June 41' on reverse.
Very scarce 4 country censorship, returned because contents in Arabic.
Both hand-stamps and label from Sudan used much earlier than noted by Little in Civil Censorship, Africa.
