Stamp-less unpaid envelope addressed to Finland canceled by Newcastle on Tyne date stamp, routed via London, endorsed 'via Ostende' with '4' and '3' in blue ink, Prussian claims for Belgian and Prussian transit (4 silbergroschen) and forwarding charge to Russia (3 silbergroschen) with 'Aus England Per Aachen/ B' in red on reverse and rated '33' (33 silver kopecks) in mauve ink payable on delivery in Finland. The 1852 rate for letters to Finland via Belgium was 11 1/2d per 1/2 oz. Lovely item.
