Envelope addressed to St, Petersburg, Russia bearing SG 103, 3d rose and SG 105, 6d mauve tied by Manchester/ 498 duplex '15th July 68' with oval 'PD', routed via London and Belgium with 'Aus England Per Aachen/ Franco' in blue/green on face and hand-struck 'Franko' in red and rated '1' on reverse in violet ink m/s , for the local delivery.
The 1866 rate for prepaid letters to Russia or Finland, via Belgium was 9d. / 1/2 oz.
