Folded letter addressed to Lyon, France bearing Greece 'Hermes' Head SG 41,19l red-orange, SG 42, 20l blue and SG 43, 40l dull rosy mauve tied by numeral '9' in lozange with Patras date stamp '3rd Sept', endorsed 'via Brindisi' with French entry cachet 'Greece/ St. Michel 2' in blue on face '21st Sept'. Paris ambulant and Lyon receiver '22nd Sept' with framed instructional 'Affranchisiment Insufficient' in black on face and rated '10' in manuscript.

The cover has a '2' in blue crayon indicating it was to pay the of '140 lepta' double rate but was only franked '70 lepta' (blue crayon) for the single letter rate to France and so underpaid.
