Hong Kong. (Treaty Ports). 1907. Registered envelope addressed to Shameen, Canton bearing SG 78, 4c purple/red and SG 81, 10c blue and purple tied by Registered/G.P.O. Hong Kong double ring with framed 'R/Hong Kong/No' registration hand-stamp on reverse with Canton/A (Webb Type Ei) arrival on reverse used a year earlier than recorded by Webb. From the new archive we have found I believe the 'A' index code (rare on stamps) was used at the Shameen, Canton Post Office.
