Air Mail envelope addressed to Batavia , Java, Netherlands East Indies bearing Switzerland Yvert 297, 40c grey and Air Mail Yvert 15, 2f brown tied by Sy Gallen date stamp '15th Aug 40' endorsed 'Par Clipper' with framed 'uber via Chiasso' with 'Opened by Censor/Hong Kong' label and Singapore 'C' and '8' circular hand-stamp with 'Censuur Batavia' censor tape tied by circular 'Dev/1' on face and reverse. Lovely item of Trans-pacific mail routed via U.S. Hong Kong and Singapore to Java.
