Stamp-less envelope written from Hausee, India dated '23rd May 1826' addressed to the traveler and writer James Baillie Fraser, Inverness, Scotland routed via Calcutta with 'Calcutta/General Post Office' double ring 'June 6th' sent on the steamer "Annam" with framed 'India Letter/Portsmouth' in black (Robertson In 3) and London transit 'Nov 16' with framed '1/2' for the Scottish turnpike fee, rated '3s' in m/s. Very fine.
