Netherlands East Indies. (Protection Camp Mail - India POW Mail). 1941. Air Mail photographic post card of 'mother and child' written from 'Taroetoeng Protection Camp' dated '17th March 41' addressed to 'Theodor Lich, Centr. Internment Kamp, Alas Vallei, Koetatjane, Block A, Barrack 12' bearing Netherlands Indies SG 270, 5c pale ultramarine (pair) and SG 335, 1c slate-violet tied by Taroetoeng date stamp '17th March 41' with oval 'Beschermingskamp/ Taroetoeng'm in violet, routed via Medan with 'Gecensureerd/ 2' hand-stamp in carmine with 'Per Luchtpost/ Par Avion' label, forwarded from Alas Vallei Camp to Dehra Dun Internment Camp, British India with framed censor 'Passed/ DHN/ 2' of the Dehra Dun Camp.
Very scarce item sent Air Mail from Taroetoeng Protection Camp for women to Dehra Dun Internment Camp.
Against censor regulations as photos and pictures should not have been sent and subject to censorship.
