Registered 'Advice of Receipt' envelope printed 'Cabinet du Secretaire General' addressed to France bearing French India Yvert 11, 50c rose tied by Pondichery/ Inde double ring '5th Feb 02' with framed 'R' and hand-struck 'A.R.' in carmine on face and large circular 'Etablissements Francais de L' Inde / Pondichery/ Le Secretaire General' in violet on reverse, with 'Modane a Paris' ambulant and Chaumont arrival '21st Feb' on reverse.
Very rare item of 'Advice of Receipt' mail from Pondichery paying the single registered franking plus 10c for 'A.R.'.
