Pre-stamp folded letter written from 'Tullamore' town land dated 'Aug 20 1789' addressed to 'Mi - Lord le Comte de Kerry a l' Hotel M. de Caze, Rue de Champs Elysees, Paris' cancelled by hand-struck 'Listowel' with circular 'AU/ 28/ 89' on reverse with Dublin 'Post Paid' and endorsed 'P.P. 10d/ Irish 2d/ British 6 - 10' in red ink m/s and rated '20' on arrival.


Nice item (with two page text) to Lord Kerry (Marquess of Lansdowne) in Paris during the year of the start of the French Revolution. Lord Lansdowne was committed to the constitutional reform in France and spent the outset of the Revolution in Paris.
