Ireland. (Irish Ship Letters - United States Forwarding Agent). 1837. Pre stamp folded letter written from Philadelphia dated 'July 24th 1837' addressed to London, endorsed 'via New Yok Packet' and forwarded with oval 'Forwarded By/ Goodhue & Co/ New York' in red on reverse, landed in Ireland with framed 'Cork/ Ship Letter' in black on face (Roberson S4) with Cork transit 'Au 18' and Dublin diamond 'Aug 19th' with London receiver '21st August' on reverse and rated '4/2' in m/s.

Lovely item of Forwarded mail sent Trans-Atlantic paying the double ship letter, Captains fee and the mileage from Cork to Dublin and Dublin to London a fee of 4/2 (four shillings and two pence).
