Isle of Man. (Village Postmarks). 1850. Envelope addressed to Ballasalla bearing Great Britain SG 8, 1d red-brown tied by Douglas '407' bar obliteration with Douglas-Isle of Man (Whitney 29) in green on reverse and Ballasalla undated circle arrival on reverse (Whitney 517). This hand-stamp had been issued on the opening of the Ballasalla Sub-Office, June 3rd 1848. A very scarce undated circle from this small Manx village.
