Japan. (Japanese Occupation Of The Caroline Islands). 1941. Japanese postal stationery card 2s scarlet upgraded with Japan SG 395, 4s green (pair) tied by vernacular Angaur date stamp (Insulo Angaur 1st June 41) addressed to Holland, endorsed mail from the Japanese Occupation Angaur Island. Out of 12,000 Japanese Troops only on the Caroline Island only 1000 were on this tiny Pacific Island. Today the population is 130. A great rarity for the Exhibitor.
