Japan. (Prisoner Of War Mail). 1944. Fukuoka No 10 Camp addressed to London written from 'Driver Smith, P.O.W. No 105, Fukuoka 10, Japan' card pre-printed 'Furyo Yubin' (Prisoner of War Post) in red with 'Yubin Hagaki' (Postcard) in black and on reverse in Japanese 'Fukuoka Prisoner of War Camp Prisoner of War Post' with framed 'Fukuoka Prisoner of War Camp' in blue with 'Suehashi' oval orange censor on face and 'Amakubo' with 'Okada' censor on reverse with boxed 'Crown/ Passed/P.W. 3003' British censor hand-stamp in crimson applied on arrival. This is the first card Driver Smith wrote to his wife after being taken a POW. Scarce item, only two items recorded from Camp No 10.
