Korea. (Canada). 1941. Envelope addressed to Korea bearing Canada SG 357, 1c green (pair) tied by Kitchener wavy line 'Nov 16 1941' with 'Examined by/ C. 263' censor tape and hand-struck instructional 'Mail Service Suspended' on face with 'Pointed Finger' in blue applied on return to Canada.

Johnson notes in 40 years of collecting this is the only 'Service Suspended' cover he has seen to Korea.
As part of the Japanese Empire, Korea became an enemy territory after Dec 8 1941. Canada being a British Dominion treated mail posted to Korea as undeliverable.
