Laos. (French Indo-China). 1900. Mourning envelope addressed to Paris, France bearing French Indo-China SG 11, 15c blue tied by Ban - Nam - Bac/ Laos double ring '14th Mars 00', routed via Dien - Bien - Phu '7th Avril' and Van - Bu/ Tonkin '12th Avril' and Hanoi/ Tonkin '20th Avril' on reverse.
Very little mail is known from this small Northern village according to Desrousseaux opened in 1895 and closed in 1900 as the mail was transferred to the larger village of Muong - Ngoi (population 700). Mail for France was sent north east via Dien-Bien-Phu which in 1896 had been part of Northern Laos and Van-Bu near Sonla.
