Stamp-less envelope (folded out for display) written from Riow addressed to Holland cancelled by Riow date stamp '16th Dec 1864', rated '50' on reverse, endorsed 'affranchie jusqu 'a Singapore' (postage only to Singapore) with Singapore transit '22nd Dec' and endorsed '1/3' on face with circular 'Poss. Angl V Suez A Marseille' French entry cachet '24th Jan 65' and rated '40' on arrival with s'Gravenhage receiver in red on reverse '26th Jan 65' on reverse. Scarce item of mail. postage from Riouw only paid as far as Singapore. Interesting item.
