Malaya. (Netherlands East Indies - Prisoner of War). 1945. Netherlands East Indies Japanese Occupation postal stationery card 3 1/2c grey written from 'L. van Affelen v. Saemsfoort, Bandoeng, Java' cancelled by Bandoeng date stamp '24th May 45' and endorsed 'Tawanan Militair' (Military Prisoner) in red crayon, addressed to 'H. van Affelen v Saemsfoort, Private Sergeant No 8560, Malayan P.O.W. Camps' with rectangular 'Ken' etsuzumi' (censored) in violet and oval seal of "Kubo" in carmine, endorsed 'Marai in katakana (Malaya) in blue ink, 'Pakenbaroe' in red crayon erased and anointed 'Changi' in blue crayon with circular "Kinoshita" seal, received in Singapore '5th June 45'.
Beautiful postal stationery card issued in 1945, at first sent to Pakanbaroe and forwarded to 'H. van Saemsfoort' a Dutch POW in Changi Camp, Singapore.
