Wonderful quality for such a rare Prisoner of War card.
A number of Dutch P.O.W.'s originally taken prisoner in Java were now housed in Singapore, many were returning from the Burma - Thai Railway.
Grogol was a women's camp in the city's insane asylum which housed 1200 women and children by the time this card was sent they had been moved to Tjideng, Batavia.
Only 17 Malaya Fifth type cards recorded, No 5 location was Changai Camp.
This card on very scarce white/ grey paper.
