Malaya. (Prisoner of War Mail). 1942. Malaya 4th P.O.W. card headed 'Furyo Yubin' (Prisoner of War) with 'Marai Furyo Shuyosho' (Malaya Prisoner of War Camp) 'Ken' etsuzumi' (censored), written from 'RSM Peter Neild, (Cheshire Regt) dated ''10/8/1944', addressed to his wife 'Mrs L. Neild, 2 Grosvenor Place, Chester, England' with square censor seal of "Sugiyama" in orange.

RSM Peter Neild had been with the Cheshire Regiment caught up in the fall of Singapore and sent from Changi to work on the Thailand end of the railway. By April/ May they returned to Singapore first to Sime Road Camp to recuperate and then to Changi.
Neild wrote this card to his wife on his return to Changi, there is no British censor as it would have been received after the war.
