Malaya. (Straits Settlements - French Paquebot). 1882. Straits Settlements: SG 52, 8c orange cancelled by octagonal French paquebot 'POSS. ANGL. PAQ. FR. No 7' (Salles 1934) dated '8th Juin 82' in blue.
This was a replacement Paquebot cancellation without the Ligne "N" noted by Raymond Salles as used on the Hong Kong - Singapore route.
Very scarce in blue and a lovely clear nearly full strike of this rare postmark.
