China.(Manchuria). 1932. Large 'Anglo-Chinese Eastern Trading Company, Harbin' registered 'Trading Envelope' addressed to 'Anglo-Chinese Eastern Trading Co. London' bearing Manchuria SG 15, 20f bistre-brown (pair) and SG 18, 1 yuan violet (stamps on reverse) tied by Pinkiang (Harbin) date stamp '29th Nov 32' with Harbin/ 2 registration label and hand-struck 'Registered' in violet.
Exceptional franking with the 'one yuan' 1st issue lithograph on cover from Pinkiang paying the 1 yuan 40 fen registered rate to England. The International postage rates from the 26th July 32 - 1st Jan 34. The 1 yuan 40 fen is a 7 times registered rate cover, letters to 20 gram, 25 fen plus 15 fen for each extra 20g = 25 fen plus 15 fen x 6 = 105 fen plus 25 fen registration fee = 1 yuan 40 fen.
A much nicer cover than the large six-times registered cover sold in the 'Dr Robert W. Farquhar' sale 'Inter-Asia (Hong Kong) June 26th 2016. (described with 'filling crease' the one yuan being rare on cover.
