Stamp-less envelope written from 'Bel Air' date '31st Aout 1850' addressed to France cancelled by 'Crown/ Mauritius/ GPO' on face 'Sept 3rd' rated '15' in m/s, routed via England with boxed 'Colonies & Art 13' in red and framed 'Deal/ Ship Letter' in blue (Robertson S.8), French entry cachet, charged Ship Letter '8' and La Fleche' arrival '30 Nov'. Superb example of the scarce Deal Ship Letter in blue.
