Stamp-less envelope written from Mauritius dated '20th Dec 1817' addressed to Vitre, France with French entry cachet 'Colonies Par/ St. Malo' on face and rated '6' in manuscript with envelope disinfected in vinegar and arrival 'Le 3rd Mai 1818' in m/s on reverse. A very fine item with text written from a Planter describing life on the Plantation.
