Stamp-less envelope headed 'Governo Delle Eritrea/Il Segretarto Generale' written from Asmara endorsed 'In the Office/ 10th Aug (44) addressed to 'Mrs Maxwell Setton, Sarwat Pasha, Ramleh, Alexandria' cancelled by 'Crown/ Passed By Censor/ No 5215' in violet.
Nice item with text written from Capt Maxwell Setton (who after the war produced more than 15 hit Hollywood films) to his wife in Egypt. Major Maxwell was Chief Censor to the Occupied Enemy Territory Administration in Asmara, Eritrea and also in Cyrenaica.
