Air Mail envelope sent 'Book Post' addressed to 'Mrs Erika Leuchtag, Fitzjohn's Avenue, London' bearing Nepal 25p blue/ white tied by Katmandu date stamp with New Year card from the Nepalese Queen Mother inscribed 'Season's Greetings & Best Wishes for the New Year/ Royal Palace, Kathmandu, Nepal (Her Majesty The Queen Mother).
Erika Leuchtag was the first woman to be allowed inside the Nepal Royal Palace, she befriended King Thihuvana and wrote a book 'Erika and the King' published in 1958.
