Stamp-less envelope written from 'Consulate General de Pays Bas (Alexandrie Egypte) with circular hand-stamp in blue on reverse dated '2nd Sept 1859' addressed to Batavia, Java cancelled by British Post Office 'Alexandria' in red 'Sept 17' routed via Singapore with framed 'Singapore/ Ship Letter/ 1859 Oct 1st/ Paid' in red on reverse and charged m/s '30' stuvers. Exceptional item.
