Netherlands East Indies. (Japanese Occupation Of Java). 1944. Post card written from Djawa C.R. addressed to 'BAT 15209' with framed 'Mare e ikan' (transferred to Malaya) in violet but endorsed 'P. Baroe' (Pakanbaroe) in m/s red crayon and oval censor of 'Watanabe' and endorsed '23/8/45' on face the date the card was received. Lovely item of camp to camp mail written from a Dutch national to her husband originally thought to have been transferred to Malaya but sent to Pakanbaroe, Sumatra.
