Netherlands East Indies. (Trans-Pacific Mail). 1940. Air Mail envelope addressed to Nebraska bearing SG 406, 25c blue-green and SG 412, 80c orange tied by Garoet date stamp '26th June 40' with 'Censuur/ Gepasseerd/ 10 censor hand-stamp in red on face, endorsed 'Trans-Pacific Airroute and Onward Air Trans-Mission' routed via Singapore with censor tape tied by 'Passed By/ Censor 42 (B)/ Singapore' in violet and circular '1' cachet. Very nice item.
The single ring numeral censor appears to have been applied in transit at Singapore early 1940.
