Air Mail envelope addressed to London bearing SG 403, 15c ultramarine, SG 405, 20c purple and SG 412, 80c scarlet tied by Batavia Centrum date stamp '11th July 40' with 'Door Censuur Geopend' label on reverse and hand-stamped 'Censuur/ Gepasseerd/ 6' in carmine on face endorsed 'Special K.N.I.L.M. Flight/ Batavia- Manila on 12.7.1940 and inward air-transmission/ Trans-Pacific (Clipper) and Transcontinental Airways and Pan-American Airways to Europe' with 'Opened by Examiner/ 449' label applied on arrival. Lovely item sent over two Oceans.
