Netherlands East Indies. (Censor Mail - Trans Tasman). 1940. Air Mail envelope written from the 'African Stores, Soerabaja' addressed to Perth, Australia bearing SG 406, 25c blue-green tied by Soerabaja date stamp '28th May 40' with 'Door Censuur/ Geopend' label'.
Very rare two line censor label from Soerabaja only known date '28th May 40.' Only one censor cover known, see Nico de Weijer's wonderful book on Netherlands Indies censorship.
