Netherlands East Indies. (Prisoner of War in Java). 1944. Netherlands East Indies Japanese Occupation 'Dai Nippon' postal stationery card 3 1/2c grey written from 'J.R. Ingenegeren, Bandoeng' dated '6/6/2604' cancelled by Bandoeng date stamp '7th June 44' and endorsed' 'Tawanan Militair' (Military Prisoner)m in red crayon, addressed to 'A.M. Ingenegeren, Hollanda No 18667, Sergeant, Java Z (Bandoeng), hand-stamped 'Java hon' (Java POW Headquarters) with typed '19736' indicating new POW number and framed 'Ken' etsuzumi' (censored) with oval seal of "Umegaki" and anointed 'ONTV 4/8/44' in pencil indicating date the card was received at Java 'Z' Bandoeng.
