Netherlands East Indies. (Prisoner of War in Java). 1945. Prisoner of (2nd) postal stationery reply card (Balasan) with pre-printed 'Ofuku Yubin Hagaki/ Fukushin' (Postcard with reply/ Inbound) and 'Furyo Yubin' (Prisoner of War Post), written from 'E. Mai, Soerabaja' addressed to 'Dr P.R. Hausman, No 8402, Java, C.Q. (Bandoeng) with oval seal of "Matsuzaki" in orange, anointed 'H5' in purple crayon indicating hut number.
This is the only censor known from "Matsuzaki". David Tett states "Known on civilian card from Soerabaja to Java C.Q. (Bandoeng).
David Tett and Spink state 'These reply cards are very scarce'. The 'Balasan' is the reply half of the double to be returned.
