Netherlands East Indies. (Prisoner of War in Java). 1943. Netherlands East Indies Japanese Occupation 'Dai Nippon' postal stationery card 3 1/2c grey written from 'F.C. Harsvelt-Jansen, Djakarta,' dated '12th Nov 03', cancelled by Djakarta date stamp '17th Nov 43' and endorsed 'Tawanan Militair' (Military Prisoner) in red crayon, addressed to 'A. Harsveldt, No 15055, Belanda (Dutch), Luitenant ter z ee 2nd KL. Java X (Batavia) with large and small rectangular 'Furyo Yubin' (Prisoner of War Post) with boxed 'Kyoka' (Approved) and seal of "Yamamoto" with 'Ken'etsuzumi" (censored) in blue and unlisted (by Tett) seral in carmine. Very fine.
