Netherlands East Indies. (Prisoner of War in Java). 1945. Prisoner of War (2nd) postal stationery double reply card (Kirim + Balasan attachment) with pre-printed 'Ofuku Yubin Hagaki/ Fukushin' (Postcard with sender, reply/ Inbound) and 'Furyo Yubin' (Prisoner of War Post), dated '5th July 1945', written from 'Dr S. Postmus, Belanda (Dutch), Captain, Djawa W.M. (Bandoeng) addressed to 'Njonja R. Postmus, Djakarta' with framed 'Jawa Yokuryusho Ken'etsuzumi' (Java Internment Camp Censured) hand-struck in carmine and circular seal of "Tachi" with boxed instructional 'No Record/ In Java/ P.O.W. & Internment Camp' in violet on face.
David Tett and Spink state 'These reply cards are very scarce.' One of the few known double reply cards "Kirim" and "Balasan" still attached used by the sender but rejected or returned.
