Netherlands East Indies. (Internment Camp Mail). 1941. Netherlands East Indies postal stationery card 3 1/2c grey written from Berg en Dal, Soekaboemi Camp dated '25th March 41' cancelled by oval 'Interneeringskamp Berg en Dal/ Soekaboemi/ Commandant'm in violet and signed by the Commander, cancelled Soekaboemi '26/3', addressed to the Sindanglaja Protection Camp with 'Gecensureerd/ 2' censor hand-stamp applied in Medan in carmine on face.
Scarce item from Soekaboemi Internment Camp, after the Germans Consulate staff were evacuated only the most difficult and dangerous 'one hundred' woman remained and the camp was converted to a Protection Camp. On the 24th May 1941 the woman were left for Tjibadak Protection Camp.
