Netherlands East Indies. (Prisoner of War in Java). 1944. Netherlands East Indies Japanese Occupation 'Dai Nippon' postal stationery card 3 1/2c grey written from 'Th.van Motman, Djakarta', cancelled by Djakarta date stamp '7th Jan 44', addressed to C.P.W. van Motman, No 22939, Hollanda, Landstorm Sergeant, Djawa Z (Bandoeng), hand-stamped 'Jawa hon' (Java POW Headquarters) with typed '19295' indicating new POW number and 'Ken'etsuzumi' (censored) in violet with seal of "Hachita" and framed 'Ket'suzumi' (censored) in carmine with oval censor seal of "Suzuki", endorsed 'ontr 7/4/44' indicating when the card was received.
David Tett notes only one censor seal from "Hachita" is known.
