Netherlands East Indies. (s' Hertogenbosch Internment Camp). 1944. Stamp-less envelope endorsed 'Portvrij voor civiel geinterneerden voor Ned. Indie' (Postage Free for Civilian Internees of Ned Indies) written from St. Michielgestel Internee Camp addressed to Voorburg cancelled by s' Hertogenbosch double ring '14th February 1944' with hand-struck 'Geprift' (checked) on face.
As a reprisal against the Internment of Germans in the Netherlands Indies on the 7th October 1940, 116 persons were interned at Kamp Ravenberg, St. Michielgestel, 29 KPM employees and 87 prominent Dutchmen.
