Red Cross enquiry form (Bulterman 25) headed 'Palang Merah Indonesia/ Perwakilan Pusat Di Djakarta' written from Djakarta to Sibolga, Sumatra by Indonesians of Arab descent dated '24th March 1948', with circular 'Palang Merah Indonesia/ Djakarta', P.M.I. Boekettinggi' , m/s '2/4/48' and 'P.M.I. Tapanuli' with m/s '4/5/48' and forwarded to Pakan-Baroe with arrival 'Palang Merah Indonesia/ Pakan-Boaroe' dated '24/6/48', a transit of three months. The message is in Malay.
Ex Paul Bulterman and illustrated in his book "Nederland's Indie in Oorlog' page 264 noted as Formulier 25.
A unique item, the only example known by Bulterman and dated '24th March 1948.'
Bulterman notes 'was the postal service between Republican Java and Republican Sumatra only possible in this period by Red Cross forms ?'.
