Netherlands East Indies. (Protection Camp Mail). 1941. Netherlands East Indies postal stationery card 3 1/2c grey written from 'Sindanglaja Protection Camp' dated '17th June 41' cancelled by oval 'Beheerder/ Beschermingskamp/ Sindanglaja' in violet and signed by the Camp Commander, cancelled Sindanglaja date stamp '18/6' addressed to the Soerabaja Orphan Chamber with 'Gecensureerd/ 2' censor hand-stamp in carmine on face.
Scarce item from the Sindanglaja Protection Camp for women from January to June 1941 when the 170 wives of German internees were sent on to Tjibadak Protection Camp.
