Netherlands East Indies. (Internment Camp Mail). 1940. Netherlands East Indies postal stationery letter-sheet 7 1/2c violet (Front) written from 'Ngawi Internment Camp' dated '30th May 1940' addressed to Soerabaja cancelled by oval 'Commandant/ Interneerlagskamp/ Ngawi' on face with Ngawi date stamp '30/5' and endorsed 'Gecensureerd' with 'Door-Censuur Geopend' label.
The Internment Camp at Ngawi was the old Fort Van den Bosh, it held the most dangerous internees including NSB party members.
