Intern - Kamp/ Koetajane' date stamp '21st Jan 41' with circular 'Het Nederlandsch Indische/ Roode Kruis' in carmine on face and reverse and hand-stamp 'Gecensureerd/ 2, endorsed 'By K.L.M. to Bagdad.'
Very attractive yellow Red Cross envelope issued to the internees at Camp Alasvallei/ Koetajane (North Sumatra) paying the four times Air Mail rate.
Most of the German men held in the camp were transferred to Dehra Dun in British India December 1941.
