Netherlands East Indies postal stationery card 3 1/2c grey written from 'Ngawi Internment Camp dated '3rd September 1940' with adjacent 'Commandant/ Interneeringkamp/ Ngawi' addressed to an internee in Banjoe Biroe Camp, routed via Batavia '5/9' with hand-stamp 'Gecensureerd'/ 4' in carmine on face.
Very fine item from Ngawi Internment Camp with oval mark of the Camp Commander. Ngawi had a very bad reputation considered the hell of Java.
