Netherlands East Indies. (Red Cross Air - Mail Form). 1941. German Red Cross message form (Bulterman Formulier 6) headed 'This Internee Airmail message will be forwarded by the 'Comite International de la Croix Rouge - Geneve' dated 'Wien '19th Juin 1941', written from Rudolf Antosch, Wien (Deutschland) to his brother 'Josef Antosch, Centrale Intreneeringkamp, Alas Vallei, Sumatra, N.0.I.' with typed 'C.I.N. 375/ 2 - A'.
Josef Antosch was a German POW in Alas Vallei Internment Camp, he was transferred to British India, Dehra Dun Camp. His wife and children were in Salatiga Protection Camp and left for Japan on the "S.S. Asama Maru".
Very rare Red Cross message the only one known of this type.
