Stamp-less envelope written from Batavia cancelled by Batavia date stamp in red '28/3', endorsed 'Per Overland Mail/ via Marseille' with bold framed 'Indie/Over Marseille' struck twice in red on reverse (Van der Linden 1765), rated '144' in m/s erased and charged '240' on face in black ink with Rotterdam arrival.
Very fine and scarce Indie over Marseille transit. Not often seen with such a bold strike.
