Netherlands East Indies. (Thailand - Singapore - Prisoner of War Mail). 1945. German P.O.W. letter sheet headed 'Prisoner of War Post' and endorsed ' Dutch Prisoner of War' addressed to 'J. Streuve, Java Camp,' cancelled by Eindhoven date stamp '28th Mar 45' with boxed Nederland censor, routed via Egypt with censor in violet, on arrival Java Camp has been erased and noted 'Singapore' and 'Siam' in red crayon have been tried and returned to Palembang with framed 'Japanese hand-stamp 'Furyo Yubin' (Prisoner of War) on face with m/s '10/11/45' on reverse with '305' date stamp on reverse (Rangoon) dated '26th Nov 45' indicating Streuve was on a repatriation ship from Burma (Rangoon) and would have had to travel via Bangkok.
