Stamp-less folded letter addressed to France written from Batavia dated '25th Jan 1834', rated '60' styvers in m/s with oval 'Zee - Brief/ Hellvoetsluis' in red '8th Juin' and Amsterdam transit with 'Na Posttyd' in red, endorsed 'Care of Messer's Hope & Co/ Amsterdam' and forwarded with framed 'Holland/Par/ Thonnville' and instructional 'L.P.B. 5.R' in red (Ven der Linden 1940) and charged '38'in green ink with Nantes arrival '19th Juin' on reverse. Lovely item full of character.
