Stamp-less Registered Air Mail envelope addressed to Seattle cancelled by oval 'Direction Generale Des P.T.T./ Nouvelle - Guinee Neerlandaise/ HOLLANDIA BINNEN' with 'Hollandia Binnen' registration label tied by Hollandia Binnen date stamp '31st Dec 59' and hand-stamp 'TAXE PERCUE F. 1 40' and Seattle receiver '6th Jan 1960' in violet on reverse.
Scarce mail from the Dutch New Guinea which they retained from the rest of the Netherlands East Indies causing conflict as Indonesia claimed New Guinea during this period.
