Stamp-less Registered Air Mail envelope addressed to Seattle cancelled by oval 'Direction Generale Des P.T.T./ Nouvelle - Guinea Neerlandaise/ HOLLANDIA BINNEN' with 'Hollandia Binnen' registration label tied by Hollandia Binnen date stamp '21st Nov 57' and hand-stamp 'TAXE PERCUE F 1. 70' (signed) and framed 'Per Luchtpost/ Par Avion' on face, struck twice and Seattle receiver 'Dec 2nd 1957' in violet on reverse.
Scarce mail from Dutch New Guinea which they had retained from the rest of the Netherlands East Indies causing conflict as Indonesia claimed New Guinea during this period.
