Registered Air mail envelope written from the 'Royal Netherlands Navy, Headquarters,( Censor Section ), London' addressed to Paramaribo bearing Great Britain SG 473, 9d olive green ( Strip of four ) tied by Maritime Mail/ Post Office hand-stamp in red with 'Opened by Examiner/ P.C. 90' censor label with framed 'Royal Netherlands Navy Headquarter / Passed by Censor/ Date 13 Sept 1944' hand-stamp on reverse and 'Geopend Door/ Censuur Suriname label tied by circular Cesuur' date stamp ' 29 9 44' in violet on face with boxed 'M' in violet and Paramaribo receiver. A superb item full of character.
